Mark Livingston, M.D. was born and raised in the Dallas, Texas area and studied archaeology before attending medical school at Texas Tech University. He completed his residency training at Oregon Health Sciences University in Family Medicine and was co-chief resident before volunteering in the U.S. Navy Reserve as a flight surgeon for the U.S. Marine Corps.
On his return to Oregon, he became the medical director at two rural clinics and then opened his own private practice in a critically underserved area. He was an assistant clinical professor in the Family Medicine and Ob/Gyn departments at the medical school, and also lectured at Pacific University in the Physician Assistant program, and was the Health Officer for Columbia County, Oregon. Dr. Livingston joined Red Hook and Cruz Bay Family Practices in 2006.
