Catherine (Katie) Hays, D.O. from the Midwest who happily made her way to the tropics to continue practicing family medicine. After graduating residency in 2019 from St. Petersburg General Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fl she joined a private practice in Seminole, Fl practicing a wide scope of family medicine including chronic condition treatment, orthopaedic injections, physicals, women's health, endocrine, preventative care, urgent care, dermatologic biopsies, osteopathic manipulative treatment, wound care, and she received her preliminary Functional Medicine certification from the Institute of Functional Medicine . She also spent 2 years rounding at Fairway Oaks Nursing Home in Tampa, bringing her therapy dog to visit patients there monthly. It was a hard decision to leave her practice in Florida, but she and her husband, however, fell in love with the USVI and felt compelled to move here for the long haul to continue their journey.
She received her medical training at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine graduating in May of 2016. She then received her residency training through the St. Petersburg General Hospital/LECOM residency training program (June 2016-June 2019) where she had her post-doctoral training in outpatient/inpatient family medicine.
Board certifications and licensures for Dr. Hays include both Family Medicine and OMT board certifications as of March of 2019 by the American Board of Family Physicians and American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. She also holds both a state of Florida and USVI medical license.
